Manhattan congressional candidate Mike Itkis is trending on Pornhub after releasing a porno tape to promote his “sex positive” platform last week.
Titled “Bucket List Bonanza,” the 13-minute long video features the third-party hopeful having sex with adult film star Nicole Sage.
According to Pornhub’s communications team, there were over 700,000 searches for “Mike Itkis” and “Nicole Sage” between Oct. 13 and Oct. 17.
Itkis — who is running against Democratic Rep. Jerry Nadler in New York’s 12 district — said his rise on the popular porn site is evidence his platform of pro-sex policies will be hard to beat this November.
“It is definitive proof that the political issues I’m bringing up are relevant to a lot of people in our country,” the candidate told The Post Tuesday.
Itkis, who is a huge underdog in the congressional race, added that the purpose of the explicit video was “to bring awareness to many unresolved issues regarding sexual behavior in our society.”
“Our laws still emphasize marriage as the most appropriate context for sexual activity, and a lot of laws on the books, such as those prohibiting adultery and sex work, are simply wrong for a society where half of the adult population isn’t married,” he explained.
The political thrust of Itkis’s message is underscored by the talking points posted with the video, which include “Sex between two people who aren’t married or involved in a long-term relationship is still very valuable to individuals involved,” and “Restrictions on sexual behavior based on marital status are outdated and harmful.”
“The creation of the video influenced how I now think about legalizing sex work,” Itkis told The Post.
“This legislation should be based on these principles: all parties must be over 18, risk mitigation practices must be in place to assure all participants health and safety, consent must be better defined and controls must be in place to assure that there are no violations.”
In addition to legalizing sex work, the self-described “very liberal” candidate supports abortion rights, gun control, and “appropriate government control over markets,” according to his campaign website.
Born in Odessa, Ukraine, Itkis is a former U.S. Army Reserve major with a background information technology and financial services. While he told The Post he has not received negative feedback on the video from anyone he knows, he confirmed that the Army Reserve has opened an investigation.
“I can conclusively state that the video has not harmed our national security in any way,” Itkis insisted.
“I’m proud of my military service and I appreciate the fact that Reserve and National Guard Service Members are given an opportunity to run for office and freely express their political views on a wide variety of social issues.”

When asked if he has plans for an encore performance, Itkis admitted that his focus is elsewhere.
“I have no plans to create another adult video for public consumption,” he confirmed.
“The idea was to show that there is nothing wrong with creating these videos and that people who do make these videos should not be shamed or have to face negative career consequences.”
Itkis’s opponents did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for a comment.
